Jaylen Brown is an American Basketball player, born on October 24, 1996. He grew up in Marietta, Georgia. Brown had an extraordinary high school basketball career, and went on to play college ball at the University of California, Berkeley. He was then drafted by the Boston Celtics in the 2016 N.B.A. and has been part of the team ever since. Jaylen Brown is also an activist and public speaker, He discussed the importance of technology and education at the University of California, Berkeley, Harvard, and M.I.T.
Brown has been a part of the Boston Celtics team since 2016 but this year he has tens of millions of dollars on the line. If Brown wants to add on atleast five more years and play for the Celtics, he needs to make an All-NBA team which he’ll be eligible for a supermax extension. According to NBC sports “The All-Star guard has been the Celtics’ best player in March, tallying his sixth straight game with at least 24 points Tuesday with a 27-point effort on 10-of-16 shooting. Brown is averaging 27.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists this month on 50.9 percent shooting and has been instrumental in keeping Boston afloat despite Jayson Tatum’s recent offensive struggles.”
While no one can see the future, Brown is making the most of what he has right now and helping his team grow. It was a good night for the Boston Celtics on Tuesday as they won their game “I feel great,” Brown responded, “On a 50-win team right now, which you can’t take for granted. Tonight was the (Celtics’) 50th win. And right now I’m focused on helping lead my team for another playoff run. In terms of speculation, etc, I can’t speculate on anything above what I’m doing right now.”
In an interview with Logan Mordock of The Ringer, he expresses his feelings about his Future with the Celtics. “I don’t know. As long as I’m needed. It’s not up to me,” Brown said. “We’ll see how they feel about me over time and I feel about them over time. Hopefully, whatever it is, it makes sense. But I will stay where I’m wanted. I will stay where I’m needed and treated correct.”
