Isaac Geralds, a multi-talented Nigerian artist and Maryland resident, is pushing the boundaries of human endurance as he embarks on an extraordinary quest to etch his name in the Guinness World Record by attempting the longest consecutive singing session ever recorded. Beginning on June 2nd and continuing until June 6th, Geralds will sing non-stop for an astonishing 110 hours. The current Guinness World Record for the longest consecutive singing session stands at 105 hours, set by Sunil Waghmare from India in 2012. Gerald’s seeks to surpass this record by singing for an additional 5 hours.

The “Just in Case” singer, known for his collaboration with the Queen of Afrobeats, Tiwa Savage, aims to push his limits and sing his heart out for a cause close to his heart – to raise awareness and funds for two important causes: The Children’s National Hospital in DC and the Efe Irele Autism Foundation in Nigeria.

Gerald’s Guinness World Record sing-a-thon event holds profound significance as he aims to spotlight the importance of providing access to music for children with special needs. The Afro-soul singer whose roots stems from Nigeria hopes to raise $500,000 in direct support for these organizations, facilitating vital programs and services for those in need.

“Music has the power to transcend boundaries and bring joy to all,” said Gerald. “By pushing my limits and singing for 110 hours straight, I hope to amplify the message of inclusivity and support for children with autism and other special needs.”

Gerald’s passion for music blossomed at the tender age of 7, when he discovered his love for singing alongside his three siblings. Since then, he has been actively involved in choirs, musical groups, and reality TV shows, including Project Fame, a music competition in West Africa, where he finished in the top 8. Geralds has been writing, recording, and performing ever since, opening, collaborating and performing with major A-List artists like Wizkid, Brandy, Davido, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, India Arie, Asa, Rotimi, MI Abaga, BBD and Bobby Brown.

Through this monumental effort, Isaac Geralds hopes to amplify the message of inclusivity and support for children with autism and other special needs. He invites supporters and well-wishers to visit The Continent, DC, to witness the event and show their support for the cause he is championing.

The current Guinness World Record for the longest consecutive singing session by an individual is held by Sunil Waghmare from India. He achieved this record by singing continuously for 105 hours in Nagpur, India, from March 3 to March 7, 2012. While there have been other attempts to break this record, such as by Carlos Silver from the Dominican Republic who sang for 106 hours but was disqualified for taking longer breaks, and Afua Asantewaa from Ghana who claimed to have sung for 106 hours, the Guinness World Records website still lists Sunil Waghmare as the current record holder for the longest singing marathon by an individual as of the search results provided.
