Ahmed Ololade aka Asake is a Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter who recently became known for his upbeat groovy song “Lady” in 2020. The artist went viral after releasing a freestyle of the song “Lady,” and he received a lot of attention from fans and even other artists. The 28-year-old has been releasing music ever since then and his platform has continued to be on the rise.
Recently, Asake appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight show for the first time performing two of his biggest hit songs. The singer gave the audience a nice and up-warming performance by performing his recent releases “Yoga,” and “Organize.” The Tonight’s Show starring Jimmy Fallon is a show that showcases talents from across the nation and world. Asake’s talent was seen worldwide on March 13th. Singers like Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid got a chance to perform on the Tonight show in the past and from it, they were able to grow their international audiences and draw more eyes and ears to their music.
Asake released his debut album “Mr Money With The Vibe” in 2020 and it became the highest-charting debut Nigerian album entering at No. 66 on Billboard. Not only making a change on the Billboards but also on Apple music. “The album has set a new record on Apple Music after becoming the African album with the highest first-day streams and three-day streams. All 12 songs on the album also occupied the top 12 spots on Apple Music Nigeria in the first 48 hours of its release.
