Maryland Governor Wes Moore has announced his endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris for President of the United States. Moore’s endorsement emphasizes Harris’ leadership qualities, empathy, and potential to unite the nation.

Reflecting on the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse, Moore shared a personal anecdote: “One of the first calls I received was from Vice President Harris. She assured us that the entire nation stood with Maryland during this tragedy. Her response showcased both her leadership and empathy.”

Moore highlighted Harris’ extensive experience and vision, citing recent conversations with both President Biden and Vice President Harris. “I offered my full support for Kamala Harris’ candidacy to both of them directly,” Moore stated. “Vice President Harris has the experience, record, vision, and wisdom to unify the country.”

The Governor expressed his belief that Harris is well-positioned to build on the Biden-Harris Administration’s accomplishments. “President Biden has built an extraordinary legacy throughout his five decades of public service,” Moore said. “The American people deserve a champion who will continue this progress.”

Moore framed the upcoming election as a critical juncture for the nation: “America is at a crossroads. Do we choose to move forward and build on the progress of record job creation and decreases in violent crime nationwide, or do we choose to go backward? Kamala Harris will move us forward, toward a brighter future for all.”

With this endorsement, Governor Moore adds his voice to those advocating for Vice President Harris to lead the United States as its next President.
