Nigerian-American Afrobeats sensation Davido has unveiled captivating pre-wedding portraits with his betrothed Chioma, igniting fan fervor ahead of their upcoming nuptials. The couple released traditional-themed images on social media, showcasing their elegant attire and cultural heritage. Davido posted the photos on his Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts with the hashtag #CHIVIDO2024 as fans all over the world anticipate their wedding. The images shot by Tope Adenola highlight the deep bond between the couple and offer a glimpse into their wedding preparations. The highly anticipated wedding is scheduled for June 25, 2024, in Lagos, Nigeria.

Here are some details to not miss about the long-awaited wedding to his long-time lover, Chioma Avril Rowland also known as Chef Chi.

  1. First thing anyone wants to know is the venue. All we know about is the traditional wedding which is set to hold at EKO Hotels & Suites in Lagos. 
  2. The couple has chosen “#CHIVIDO24” as their official wedding hashtag and Davido confirmed in an interview with media personality Kie Kie that their court wedding took place in March 2023.
  3. Davido has said the Chioma’s engagement ring is worth two or three Rolls Royces. Speaking of Rolls Royces, Cubana Chief priest has hinted in a video that the  wedding’s luxury showcase is rumored to include three white Rolls Royces coupled with Davido posting his father stepping out of his private jet.
  4. Davido’s best man would be no other than his personal assistant, Lateef Raimi (known as LATI), 
  5. Chioma’s friends and Davido surprised her with a late-night bridal shower at a waterside venue in Lekki on Sunday, the same day the pre-wedding photos were released..
  6. Reports show that Victor Osimhen is the first footballer to receive an invitation to to the wedding.
  7. Another sportsperson has been invited—former Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) chairman, Amaju Pinnick.
